ABOUT COACH
Hey guys! I'm Jonathan Meade - the Head Coach and Founder of Rambo Barbell. I can't wait to meet you and help you reach your goals - whether that's powerlifting or olympic weightlifting or general strength to weight loss! One of the things I love most about my career is being able to help everyone reach their personal goals and provide a welcoming attitude every single day. When we work together, it's truly a partnership where I will meet you where you're at and listen to make sure we take the best course of action pinpoint and reach each goal you might have.

I went to UGA for my Masters Degree in Kinesiology and UTC for my Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science. I'm a USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach and have refereed several competitions, including the 2017 USAW Youth National Championships, and am also a USAPL Powerlifting Coach. I've taken many athletes to local and national level competitions, have helped many lose hundreds of pounds through training & nutrition lifestyle changes, and hope to help you achieve your goals in lifting & life as well! I also have several other certifications, including the NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, USAW Sports Performance Coach, and USAPL Powerlifting Coach, ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, USTF Strength & Conditioning Coach, and more! I've worked with just about every population you can think of - beginners to elite level Weightlifters and Powerlifters, police & fire fighters, NFL players, NBA players, high school athletes, collegiate Track & Field athletes, regular working adults, kids, elderly, large scale industrial workers, etc.

My favorite part of coaching is the grind. The grind is the period of training when the coach and athlete are developing strength, technique, mobility, power, and more during training cycles. These are the times that create the lifter and lead to epic PRs at the end of cycles, during peaking, and in competition. These are the times when the most is learned through application and cuing to conquer weak points. These are the times when power is developed and athletic ability is improved. Its up to you to put in the work, remain consistent, and trust in yourself but its up to the coach to give you exactly what you need for awesome changes in ability and help you grow. I take pride in giving my athletes the highest quality coaching and programming. I'd love to be there for you through training and competition.
