Hey guys! I'm Jonathan Meade - the Head Coach and Founder of Rambo Barbell. I love coaching and competing in Olympic Weightlifting and Powerlifting.
I went to UGA for my Masters Degree in Kinesiology and UTC for my Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science. I'm a USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach and have refereed several competitions, including the 2017 USAW Youth National Championships, and am also a USAPL Powerlifting Coach. I've taken many athletes to local and national level competitions, and hope to help you achieve your goals in lifting as well! I also have several other certifications, including the NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, USAW Sports Performance Coach, and USAPL Powerlifting Coach, ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, USTF Strength & Conditioning Coach, and more! I've worked with just about every population imaginable - beginners to elite level Weightlifters and Powerlifters, police & fire fighters, NFL players, NBA players, high school athletes, collegiate Track & Field athletes, regular working adults, kids, elderly, large scale industrial workers, etc.
My favorite part of coaching is the grind. The grind is the period of training when the coach and athlete are developing strength, technique, mobility, power, and more during training cycles. These are the times that create the lifter and lead to epic PRs at the end of cycles, during peaking, and in competition. These are the times when the most information is learned through application and cuing to conquer weak points. These are the times when power is developed and athletic ability is improved. Its up to you to put in the work, remain consistent, and trust in yourself but its up to the coach to give you exactly what you need for awesome changes in ability and help you grow. I take pride in giving my athletes the highest quality coaching and programming. I'd love to be there for you through training and competition.

Jozie Lewis BS, SPT, CPT
Jozie Lewis is the Assistant Coach for Rambo Barbell and works closely with our remote lifters! Jozie received her bachelors degree from the University of Georgia in Exercise and Sport Science. She's spent several years working as a personal trainer, helping clients develop better technique, strength, and power. She also has tremendous experience as an athlete! During her time at UGA, she was on the UGA rowing team and assisted in creating the women’s lifting program. While on the team she became a two-time All-American Athlete awarded by the American Collegiate Rowing Association.
Jozie joined Rambo Barbell in August of 2019, competes as a national level lifter, and has had tremendous training results. Some of her best growth from 2019 to 2020 had been developing her Jerk from 83kg to 103kg (+24%), her Snatch from 66kg to 75kg (+13%), and her Clean from 84kg to 97kg (+15%). She has a very large knowledge-base surrounding biomechanics, sports nutrition, and exercise modification. Not to mention, she has an impressive history in program development for many different athletes with a strong base rooted and particularly likes to work with Powerlifters! With her educational background, strong experience as an athlete, and determination to help her lifters reach the next level you can be rest assured that you're in good hands. Jozie is awesome!
She is currently attending Georgia State University where she is pursuing her Doctor of Physical Therapy. Her future goals are situated around developing into a world class Physical Therapist and helping people recovering from different orthopedic injuries, specifically adults that are pushing hard in Olympic Weightlifting, Powerlifting, CrossFit, and other related athletic endeavors. When Jozie isn’t training or studying for school, she loves to spend her free time with friends, family, and her cat, Lady. Jozie is excited to help athletes reach their full potential and get stronger!
